Find your purpose—even with complex chronic illness

Coaching for people living with autoimmune and neurological conditions—clear next steps, supportive check-ins, and habits that work on unpredictable days.

About LJS Coaching

We help people living with autoimmune and neurological conditions turn “I don’t know where to start” into a simple plan. Informed by Luke’s lived experience (Transverse Myelitis, Orthostatic Tremor; six‑year diagnostic journey) and formal training (ICF coach training; ABNLP NLP Practitioner), and by Vicky’s background as an NMC‑registered mental health nurse, we focus on workable systems—pacing, priorities, and habits you can keep, even on unpredictable days.

In this coaching practice Vicky does not provide clinical treatment; she leads workshops and talks that teach practical wellbeing strategies and share resources tailored to life with chronic health needs.

We’re a good fit if you’re newly diagnosed or navigating change. Sessions are online (video or audio), typically 45 or 60 minutes, weekly or adapted to your capacity. We keep things clear, kind, and doable.

How we’ll work;

Clarify what matters to you

Map energy and design realistic routines

Create “bad‑day” and recovery‑day plans

Weekly check‑ins and light adjustments

Wellbeing strategies and resources via Vicky’s workshops/talks

UK‑based (London time), online; in‑person available locally

Coaching only—no medical advice, diagnosis, or appointment attendance

Vicky’s role is strictly educational (workshops, talks, resources), not clinical care. We don’t offer medical advice, diagnostics, appointment support, or mental‑health treatment. We don’t work with clients currently under active mental‑health treatment by their medical team.

Services

1:1 Coaching

Gentle, practical support tailored to your capacity. We’ll clarify what matters now, map your energy, and design simple routines and boundaries—with a “bad‑day” version—so you can keep moving without burnout. Sessions are online (video or audio), 45 or 60 minutes, weekly or at your pace, with brief notes and 1–3 next steps after each session. Coaching only—no medical advice or diagnosis.

Workshops & Talks

Educational sessions led by Vicky (NMC‑registered mental health nurse) focused on wellbeing strategies for life with chronic health needs. Topics include pacing and mood, boundaries under stress, sleep and routines, and navigating work or study with variable capacity. Ideal for community groups, clinics, charities, and workplaces; 45–90 minutes with Q&A and take‑home resources.

Newly Diagnosed Starter Programme (4 weeks)

A gentle, step‑by‑step start if you’re newly diagnosed or still being investigated. Over four weeks we’ll define priorities, map your energy, build a simple routine with “bad‑day” backups, and create basic boundary scripts—so life feels more workable. Includes templates, light check‑ins, and clear next steps you can actually keep. Coaching and education only; not medical care.

Partner & Caregiver Sessions

Optional joint sessions to bring a partner or caregiver into the plan. Together we’ll set shared expectations, outline roles for flare and recovery days, and agree simple communication scripts—so support feels coordinated and respectful. Your goals remain central; we can have your guest join for part or all of the session. This is coaching, not family therapy.

FAQS

What will I get from the free 30‑minute call?

You’ll share what’s going on and what you want next. We’ll offer 1–2 clear, practical next steps and see if coaching is a good fit—no pressure, no prep required, camera optional.

Do I need an official diagnosis to start?

No. We work with people who are newly diagnosed, in the middle of investigations, or years in. Coaching focuses on practical routines, pacing, and boundaries—not medical advice or diagnosis.

Is this medical advice or therapy?

No. This is coaching and education. We don’t provide medical advice, diagnosis, or mental‑health treatment, and we don’t work with clients currently under active mental‑health treatment by their medical team.

I’m newly diagnosed and overwhelmed—where do we start?

We’ll start small: clarify what matters most right now, map your energy, and create a simple plan—with a “bad‑day” version—so you can make progress without burning out.

How do sessions work?

Online via video or audio (UK — London time), typically 45 or 60 minutes, weekly or paced to your capacity. In‑person may be available locally. After sessions, you’ll get simple notes and next steps.

How do you tailor coaching for fatigue, pain, or brain fog?

We can do audio‑only, slow the pace, take breaks, caption calls, and co‑write brief notes. We’ll prioritise one or two doable actions and adjust in real time based on how you’re feeling.

What happens if I have a flare and need to reschedule?

We build for unpredictability. If you need to move or shorten a session, we’ll work with you—no explanation needed. Your health comes first.

What will I leave the first paid session with?

A clear, lightweight plan for the week, 1–3 next steps, and a basic pacing/“bad‑day” backup—so you know exactly what to try before we meet again.
